About Pierce the Veil

The Fuentes brothers founded Pierce the Veil after their previous project Before Today disbanded, naming the new group after a song from that band's farewell album. They self-recorded their debut 'A Flair for the Dramatic' in Seattle with producer Casey Bates and released it in June 2007 on Equal Vision Records. The full lineup solidified with the addition of guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado, establishing the core ensemble that would define their sound. Heavy touring activity followed immediately, culminating in appearances at Warped Tour starting in 2007 and establishing the band as a draw on the festival circuit.

Their second album 'Selfish Machines' reached number one on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart in 2010, and the band contributed covers to the Punk Goes series, including Blue Oyster Cult's '(Don't Fear) The Reaper' and Bruno Mars' 'Just the Way You Are.' In 2011 they signed with Fearless Records, releasing 'Collide with the Sky' in 2012 to substantial critical and commercial success. The album's lead single 'King for a Day' featured Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens and became a signature moment in their catalog. They continued with 'Misadventures' in 2016, produced by Dan Korneff, and most recently released their fifth studio album 'The Jaws of Life' in February 2023.
