Duff's music career began with Santa Claus Lane in 2002 on Walt Disney Records, but her breakthrough came with Metamorphosis in 2003 on Hollywood Records, which topped the Billboard 200 and went 4x Platinum. The album's singles So Yesterday and Come Clean became defining tracks of mid-2000s pop radio, and she supported the release with the Metamorphosis Tour.
