Charli xcx is an English pop and electronic artist who emerged from MySpace in the late 2000s and built a catalog spanning experimental pop, hyperpop, and dance-inflected production. Her work bridges mainstream pop hooks with avant-garde production sensibilities, particularly after her 2015 collaboration with PC Music and producer SOPHIE.

Charlotte Aitchison started uploading tracks to MySpace in 2008 from Cambridge, catching the attention of promoters who booked her at warehouse events and parties. She signed with Asylum Records in 2010 and released singles and mixtapes through 2012 before breaking into wider recognition through the Icona Pop collaboration "I Love It". Her debut True Romance (2013) received critical support, followed by high-profile writing and feature work including the chorus on Iggy Azalea's "Fancy", which dominated 2014 radio and finished as one of that year's best-selling singles.
Charli's solo single "Boom Clap" gave her a top-ten Billboard Hot 100 placement, and her second album Sucker continued that commercial momentum with "Break the Rules" and "Doing It". Around 2015, she shifted direction by working with A. G. Cook's PC Music collective and SOPHIE, a production and songwriting partnership that shaped her approach to texture and form. The Vroom Vroom EP (2016), the mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 (2017), and singles like "Boys" and "1999" reflected this alliance with experimental electronic production. Her third studio album Charli arrived in 2019, followed by how i'm feeling now (2020), recorded during UK lockdown. She released CRASH in 2022 and BRAT in June 2024, the latter winning her three Grammy Awards including Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 67th Grammy Awards in February 2025. In February 2026, she released Wuthering Heights.
