The Pretty Reckless is an American alternative rock band led by Taylor Momsen, who stepped away from acting on Gossip Girl to pursue music full-time. Since their 2009 formation, they've built a catalog of hard-hitting rock records with multiple chart-topping singles on the US Mainstream Rock chart.

The band broke through with their debut Light Me Up in 2010, which produced the UK hit Make Me Wanna Die and established Momsen's commanding presence as frontwoman and guitarist. Their follow-up, Going to Hell, arrived in 2014 and marked a significant milestone: the band became the first female-fronted group to land two number one hits on the US Mainstream Rock chart with Heaven Knows and Fucked Up World, later adding Follow Me Down as a third chart-topper from that album.
Who You Selling For continued their run in 2016, earning another number one with Take Me Down and solidifying their status in modern hard rock. The band's most recent full-length, Death by Rock and Roll, dropped in 2021 on Fearless Records and saw them take a hands-on production role alongside Jonathan Wyman and producer collaborators. The album's title track and the Tom Morello-featuring And So It Went kept their momentum going.
