Parcels is an electro-pop quintet that formed in Byron Bay during high school and relocated to Berlin, where they built their sound around synth-driven arrangements and precise rhythmic interplay. If you're after contemporary pop with a continental European production sensibility filtered through Australian origins, their catalog spans EPs and LPs worth tracking.
About Parcels
The band came together in 2014 in Byron Bay, Australia, with members Louie Swain and Patrick Hetherington handling keyboards, Jules Cremmelin on guitar, Noah Hill on bass, and Anatole Serret on drums. Their early work appeared as the Clockscared EP in 2015, followed by the Hideout EP two years later, establishing their approach to electro-pop before the full debut landed.
Parcels released their self-titled LP in 2018, a studio statement that solidified their direction after the band's relocation to Berlin. The German capital became their base, and the shift in geography reflected in their recorded output and live activity. For collectors, The Groove Hunter tracks 4 editions across titles including Day/Night, Parcels, Loved, and Live Vol. 2, offering multiple entry points into their catalog depending on format and pressing preferences.
