Nate Feuerstein grew up in Gladwin, Michigan dealing with family trauma that shaped his approach to songwriting from an early age. He taught himself to record by layering vocals and instrumentals on a kakaoke machine, eventually placing in regional and national rap competitions. After releasing his debut album Moments independently in 2010, he signed with Xist Music in 2012 but the partnership dissolved before any official releases emerged. A creative partnership with producer Tommee Profitt in the studio led to the track 'Wake Up,' which caught the attention of Capitol Christian Music Group and resulted in a recording deal.

NF's first official album under CMG, Mansion (2015), established his presence on the Christian Albums chart and introduced his raw, confessional approach to hip-hop. Therapy Session (2016) continued this trajectory with similar chart success and unfiltered emotional content. His breakthrough came with Perception (2017), which reached number one on the Billboard 200, earned platinum certification, and pushed his single 'Let You Down' into the top 15 on the Hot 100. He replicated that commercial success with The Search in 2019, and most recently released Hope in 2023, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200. The Groove Hunter currently tracks 8 editions across his catalog, including editions of Hope, Therapy Session Titanium, PERCEPTION, Mansion, and HOPE[2 LP].
