Metro Boomin is a St. Louis-born producer and executive who shaped trap and hip-hop production from the Atlanta scene outward. His synthesizer-heavy, atmospheric sound became the backbone for hits by Future, 21 Savage, Migos, and Post Malone starting in the mid-2010s.

About Metro Boomin
Leland Tyler Wayne started producing in high school and built his reputation working with Atlanta trap artists through the 2010s. His production credits include "Bad and Boujee" by Migos, "Mask Off" by Future, "Bank Account" by 21 Savage, and "Congratulations" by Post Malone, which reached Diamond certification. By 2017, Forbes and Stereogum had identified him as one of the world's most in-demand producers.
Metro Boomin released his debut solo album Not All Heroes Wear Capes in 2018, which topped the Billboard 200. His second album Heroes & Villains arrived in December 2022 as a psychedelic trap project with appearances from The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Young Thug, ASAP Rocky, and others. A deluxe instrumental edition titled Heroes & Villains (Heroes Version) followed shortly after. He also produced the Spider-Verse soundtrack, another major collaborative effort.
