About Logic
Born Robert Bryson Hall II in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Logic cut his teeth releasing mixtapes starting in 2009 before Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever gained enough traction to secure his Def Jam contract. His debut Under Pressure arrived in 2014 as a gold-certified project that established his technical approach to lyricism. The Incredible True Story followed in 2015, also going gold, while the Bobby Tarantino mixtape series became his most recognizable independent work, spawning sequels in 2018 and 2021.
Logic's third album Everybody marked his first number-one debut and produced the hit single "1-800-273-8255", which reached the Billboard top three. He continued releasing studio projects including YSIV in 2018 (which featured all surviving Wu-Tang Clan members on "Wu Tang Forever") and a self-titled companion album to his 2019 debut novel Supermarket. After announcing his retirement in 2020 with No Pressure, Logic returned to music in 2021 and has since released Vinyl Days, College Park, and Ultra 85, while also collaborating with C Dot Castro in the duo halfBREED.
