The group launched with FEARLESS, which set the highest first-day sales record for a K-pop girl group debut. Their October 2022 follow-up ANTIFRAGILE, released as a five-member unit after Kim Garam's departure, became their first million-copy seller and made them the fastest K-pop girl group to chart on the US Billboard 200. The title tracks from both EPs topped South Korea's Circle Digital Chart and earned platinum certifications for streaming in South Korea and Japan.
LE SSERAFIM expanded into Japanese releases starting December 2022, with versions and original compositions like 'Choices', which became a theme for the Japanese drama 3000 Yen: How to Enrich Life. Their May 2023 studio album UNFORGIVEN reached number one in South Korea and top ten on the Billboard 200, with singles 'UNFORGIVEN' and 'Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's wife' earning gold certifications in Japan. The track 'Perfect Night' became their first Circle Digital Chart number one, holding the top spot for six weeks. By 2024, the group had established themselves on the Billboard Hot 100 and performed at major international festivals including Coachella, where they collaborated with Nile Rodgers.
