About Jack White
White grew up in Detroit and cut his teeth as a drummer in the cowpunk outfit Goober & the Peas during the early 1990s before forming The White Stripes in 1997. Beyond his work in that duo and his concurrent projects The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, he established himself as a serious studio hand, producing Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose in 2004, an album that earned Grammy recognition for best country album and best country collaboration on the track 'Portland Oregon'.
His solo career began in 2012 with the single 'Love Interruption', released first through his Vault membership club and then on vinyl a week later, paired with the B-side 'Machine Gun Silhouette'. Recorded at Third Man Studio in Nashville, this set the template for White's approach to his solo output: deliberate format choices and exclusive pressings. He has since released Blunderbuss, Lazaretto, Boarding House Reach, Fear of the Dawn, Entering Heaven Alive, and No Name, each exploring different dimensions of his rock vocabulary, with No Name returning to the raw, direct sound of his White Stripes work.
