Beatrice Laus was born in the Philippines in 2000 and relocated to West London at age three, where she absorbed Original Pilipino Music alongside 1990s pop and rock. At 17, after picking up a secondhand guitar and teaching herself through YouTube, she wrote her first song 'Coffee' and adopted the project name Beabadoobee from a throwaway finsta handle. The track caught Dirty Hit's attention in 2018, and her early run of EPs (Lice, Patched Up, Loveworm, Space Cadet) built an audience while positioning her as a fixture in the UK indie circuit.

Beabadoobee's profile exploded unexpectedly when Powfu sampled 'Coffee' for 'Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)' in early 2020, and the track went viral on TikTok, achieving platinum status across multiple territories despite her mixed feelings about the song's sudden prominence. Her debut album Fake It Flowers arrived that October to critical praise, and she subsequently supported major touring acts including Clairo, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and labelmates the 1975. Beatopia followed in 2022 with the single 'The Perfect Pair', while her third album This Is How Tomorrow Moves cemented her chart presence with a UK number-one debut in 2024.

The Groove Hunter currently tracks 8 editions of Beabadoobee vinyl, including both studio albums Beatopia and Fake It Flowers alongside colored variants and EP editions like the Patched Up exclusive orange pressing and a numbered hand-labeled Glue Song Pink Heart variant.
