AJR is a New York City trio of brothers who write, produce, and mix their own indie pop material from their Chelsea apartment. Their eclectic sound blends pop, electronic, and unexpected elements like barbershop and dubstep into radio-friendly singles that have accumulated hundreds of millions of streams.

The Met brothers started gaining serious traction in 2016 with Weak, a track they wrote in a few hours that went Platinum in the US and four other countries while racking up over 500 million Spotify streams. They followed with The Click in June 2017, a full-length that featured Weak alongside collaborations like Sober Up with Rivers Cuomo. The album spawned an extended Deluxe edition in September 2018 and established AJR as a working band capable of consistent single releases and festival appearances.
Their 2019 album Neotheater marked their biggest chart moment, hitting number one on Billboard's Top Rock and Top Alternative charts while reaching number 8 on the Top 200 Albums. The record included 100 Bad Days, which later appeared on Taylor Swift's curated playlist, along with Birthday Party and Dear Winter. AJR moved forward with OK Orchestra in March 2021, a project that had been teased extensively and featured the single Way Less Sad alongside a track with the Blue Man Group.
